FOUR X NORTHWEST:at Garde Rail gallery July 7
"Four X Northwest" celebrates a quartet of Seattle self-taught artists. Anne Grgich has been showing internationally since the late 1980's and is the best know "outsider" artist from our region. Ree Brown's delicate gauche and watercolor portraits on paper of people, "no one in particular", can be disarming, and equally as charming as his tiny cat "mug shots", and spindly birds. Wood carver Tim Fowler has been working with masonry, tile and concrete, and we'll be exhibiting his statues for the first time. Gregory Blackstock's "catalogue" drawings are a tremendous discovery that the art field is very excited about.
