Spectrum Dance is looking for artists

Seeking 1 – 4 GRAFFITI ARTISTS TO APPEAR ONSTAGE
DURING DANCE PERFORMANCES AT THE MOORE THEATRE

Spectrum Dance Theater performs March 23/24 at the Moore Theatre. One piece, Short Dances, Little Stories, requires a graffiti artist to paint on the backdrops during the performance (35 minutes). The selected artist(s) will be required to attend a tech rehearsal on March 22, a dress rehearsal on March 23, and the two performances on March 23 and 24. Details TBD.
SELECTED ARTIST(S) WILL BE PAID AN HONORARIUM.
PERFORMANCE PAINTING MATERIALS WILL BE SUPPLIED.

AUDITION: Saturday, MARCH 3, 2007 10 AM – NOON

WHERE: MADRONA BEACH PARK – PARKING LOT

jamie hewlett is .....the best.

In the early 90's my buddy Chris introduced me to the incredible UK comic magazine Deadline. I was enthralled by the Tank Girl Covers, just imagining this dayglo Acid /Punk scene happening in London and how much i was missing being in Albuquerque. Well here is a video of the Great Jamie Hewlett, creator of tank girl and the gorillas, talking about his love of zombie movies and daffy duck.
